Problem #1 - "The Broken Line":

Nylon filament line is used as the cutting member of choice on virtually all grass trimmers. It performs very well because it is:

  • Lightweight
  • Inexpensive
  • Relatively safe

However, when rotated at cutting speeds often exceeding 6000 rpm, the centrifugal force on the line makes it very rigid and it takes on different properties much like a piece of aluminum wire. When this rigid nylon strikes a fixed object such as a rock, fence, or tree the nylon bends back at the attachment point - most commonly a brass eyelet. As the line continues to bend back and forth, it heats up and eventually weakens at this point, often resulting in common and highly frustrating BROKEN LINES.

The operator is then forced to:

  • Turn off the trimmer engine
  • Open the spool and manually advance the line out
  • Waste line and time

Problem #2 - "Loading the Line":

The traditional "bump and spool" system uses a cavity within the head to store and feed line through one or two eyelets on the head.

Most users will agree that it is very difficult to not only get the line(s) wound on correctly, but that the line never seems to feed out correctly without getting tangled and again forcing the operator to stop and fix the problem.

Trimmer manufacturers are now offering pre-wound spools, but these cost between $5.00- $9.00 each and often don't last as long as a tank of gas.

Some manufacturers now have an easy loading system that holds short sections of line with a one-way locking system. However, the line still breaks off regularly and is quite often difficult to remove. Also over time the teeth in the locking system become inundated with dirt and no longer hold the line in place rendering the head useless.

The Solution - The PIVOTRIM:

Better Heads LLC has developed the solution to both of these problems with the introduction of the PIVOTRIM Replacement Gas Trimmer Head. This universally adaptable head uses a patented PIVOT - DESIGN that allows the attachment point of the line to rotate or swivel. This simple mechanical advantage for the trimmer line allows it to wear much more slowly and evenly from the end of the line and essentially ELIMINATES LINE BREAK-OFFS!

It is also extremely easy to load! You simply push the two ends of a pre-cut piece of line through two holes and pull tight. The line is locked into place.

What's more, the lines fold in half through each of the four posts giving you EIGHT CUTTING LINES. Couple that with the pivoting action and now this trimmer head will run up to four hours without changing the line!

  •  No Spools
  •  No Hassle
  •  No Worries

The PIVOTRIM is truly the WORLD'S BEST TRIMMER HEAD - GUARANTEED!!!
